Karen Dawson

Karen’s experience stems from advising on energy market restructuring activities, the operational impacts of policy and regulatory change on market participants, the commercial implications of structural change and potential risk mitigations. More recently, this has included consideration of strategic options to support the delivery of net zero in the energy sector, alternative financing structures and consumer protection requirements. 

She provides strategic, market, regulatory and analytical advice to clients undergoing regulatory investigations or involved in contractual disputes, and to investors on market entry strategies, asset valuations, independent performance reviews or transactions.  

An experienced programme manager, she has run multi-year, multi-country projects, interfacing with a wide range of counterparties at governmental and board level.
